HeatherC430 Posted March 1, 2016 Author #52 Share Posted March 1, 2016 This was the first Celebrity ship that we've been on that had grass on the top deck. My DH had to check it out! See the big Adirondack chairs in the center of the picture below. Well, I desperately wanted to have my picture taken in one (as we bypassed a similar photo Op in Ft. Lauderdale). They were roped off the entire week onboard! I'm not going to lie, I was alittle bit disappointed!

HeatherC430 Posted March 1, 2016 Author #55 Share Posted March 1, 2016 The round ball in the picture inside Quasar is actually where the DJ booth is setup inside the dance club!

HeatherC430 Posted March 1, 2016 Author #58 Share Posted March 1, 2016 From the vantage point of where I was sitting and my desperate attempt to crop heads out of the picture, it appears this was during the safety drill.
HeatherC430 Posted March 1, 2016 Author #59 Share Posted March 1, 2016 I can tell it's getting past my bedtime, because I just realized I have a few pictures from my stateroom's bathroom that I forgot to post with the room pictures. Here are a few. This is also one of the nicer bathrooms we've had in terms of space and finishes. Under the vanity, there were several drawers, cabinets and shelves. For once, we had more than enough space to store our toiletries in the bathroom. I must say that the small ledge on the lower part of the shower made a huge difference when trying to shave your legs in the shower. Ladies...you know what I'm talking about! This is the first shower stall that I've seen this in!
HeatherC430 Posted March 1, 2016 Author #60 Share Posted March 1, 2016 Then we headed outside for sail-away.
HeatherC430 Posted March 1, 2016 Author #61 Share Posted March 1, 2016 Why is it that sail-away is always so windy? This was about as good as it gets...

Rare KKB Posted March 1, 2016 #63 Share Posted March 1, 2016 L.O.V.I.N.G. your review!! We are on the Silhouette for the first time this weekend!! Loving your OV room--we have been doing more balconies as well as of late, but I would do that one! (was just able to "upgrade" our C3 to a C3 accessible today--they only release those about a week before embarkation & let us know that if someone should book last minute & need an accessible, we would have to switch. FAIR ENOUGH!:p) Living vicariously through you for the next few days!!
HeatherC430 Posted March 1, 2016 Author #64 Share Posted March 1, 2016 Tonight was also Superbowl at Sea. This would be our second Superbowl while cruising. The last was two years ago during our first Celebrity cruise on the Summit. This year, I didn’t even realize that we were sailing during that time, until a few weeks before when I noticed the date of the Superbowl and realized we’d be onboard. The Superbowl started at 6:30pm, so we headed back to the room and changed. Then, we made our way to find a place to watch the game. While we knew it would be played on decks 4 & 5 in the Silhouette theater, we had hoped to find a smaller venue (with a bar) to watch the game. Two years ago on the Summit, we had watched the game playing from Michael’s and really enjoyed the smaller venue. On the Silhouette, the only other place that we could find was the Casino bar, and by the time we arrived there were no seats available. The TV was behind the bar there and extremely busy, so we headed to the theater for lack of other options. We came and went throughout the time the game was on. I will say that it didn’t really seem like many people onboard were into watching the game. I’m not sure if that was because of the mix of passengers onboard, or if no one really cared much for either team playing. Me, personally, haven’t watched a single football game all season, and if I wasn’t onboard a cruise on this day, I probably wouldn’t have watched anything other than the half-time show (which was truly awful). I couldn’t even tell you who won! lol Celebrity did have a buffet setup at the back of the theater, waiters coming around taking drink orders, and several places where they were setup with tubs of beer that you could go to for drinks rather than waiting on your server. Similar setup to what we experienced on the Summit two years ago.
HeatherC430 Posted March 1, 2016 Author #65 Share Posted March 1, 2016 We ended up grabbing dinner at the Ocean-view cafe and then heading to bed at a reasonable time. I was up first thing the next morning to take some pictures of sunrise. A few pictures from that evening before retiring for the night, then starting the next morning - our first sea day. HeatherC430 Posted March 2, 2016 Author #73 Share Posted March 2, 2016 The first sea day pretty much flew by before I realized it. As you could see from the pictures taken at sunrise from the aft decks, there were very few that were up and about as early as I was that morning. Since the ship was still pretty empty, I wandered around for a bit taking some more pictures before heading back to the room. Below is the Art Studio. This is the first cruise where I've seen such a thing. I think I really would have enjoyed checking out one of the sessions, but the offerings and times were pretty limited, and it seemed as though you had to pre-reserve any classes in advance (clearly because there wasn't much space). Some of the classes did have charges associated with them. I'm definitely going to check this out on a future cruise though, and would love to hear from any CC members who have done any classes in the art studio. I included a picture of the sign hung on the outside of the door that listed the days and classes available. Seemed like a strange spot for a ping pong table.
