sconie Posted February 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2016 My sister and I and our two 16 year old daughters are going to be in Nassau on the Escape in a few weeks. The girls want to do a day at a resort and Melia sounds great....however we don't even dock until noon and I'm wondering if it is even worth it. Does anyone know if they "kick you out" at a certain time? They want to try to find parasailing from the beach when we get there, so I have to see if that is a possibility too:confused:! Thanks! Resort Passes end at 5pm. At that time, lounges get stacked, grills and restrooms are closed, staff and lifeguards go home. Parasailing is not part of any hotel beach package, so you can get picked up from the dock if that's what you are looking for. There are a couple of good ones, .. 1stcarnivalcruise Posted February 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2016 We are similar, don't arrive until 1:30. I emailed the British colonial hotel directly and they replied that the lifeguards leave and the bar restaurant closes at five but we were welcome to stay as long as we wanted. Hope this helps. OCruisers Posted February 27, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2016 To be perfectly honest: Booking a resort would not really be worth it. Look at the possibility of going someplace for a bit of time on-your-own.
Rare Keith1010 Posted February 27, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2016 I would pass on it. Keith
Rare CruisinCrow Posted February 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 27, 2016 We did the Melia day pass just for the afternoon. We thought it was worth it. If I remember right, they said we had to return our towels by 5:30. It probably depends on the time of year - the pools close earlier in the winter. cruiseapril Posted February 27, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 27, 2016 We usually go to the Melia for 3 or 4 hours, as by then we have had plenty of sun. We get a day pass without food. There are many shorter excursions in Nassau, many described on this board. The British Colonial Hilton is right near the pier.
