Port of NY - Platinum/Suite Priority ?

Hello -

 

This will be our first time departing on an NCL ship out of the port of New York.

We are Platinum, and sailing in a suite - is there a dedicated "line" for checking in ?

(we are NOT in a Haven suite)

Yes to both, you will be among the first to board.

Platinum has a dedicated line.Mini-suites don't count for anything if that was the type of cabin you have , just a nicer bathroom

Aren"t all suites now part of HAVEN. I am in a suite in a couple weeks and they told us that all suites are included now.??

After Security you will need to show your proof of suite to a person off to the right. She or he will check your name off a list and put you in the suites/plat/gold line which is also to the right. You won't need a boarding # if in a suite; you'll go to the suites lounge and be boarded from there.

 

If you're not in a full suite but you're platinum, you go to the same place to check in and you'll get a low boarding #.

 

There is usually a suites/plat/gold security line but it can be hard to find. If you don't see it just ask someone.

In addition to the separate line for check in, there's a separate waiting area, where some little food treats and coffee, water, and (iirc) juice will be provided. (When we sailed in February, this separate area was freezing!) You'll meet the concierge there and he/she will give you your sea pass cards.

No. Only on new megaships all full suites are Haven suites.

 

However there are still ships that don't have Haven at all (for example Spirit, Dawn and Star) and ships that have Haven but not all suites have access to it (Jewel, Pearl, Jade, Gem).

 

But whether a suite has Haven access has nothing to do with other perks - the perks are for all full suites, not just Haven suites.
