britty1 Posted March 18, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2016 I have read a couple of reviews that have stated the beds on adventure are not comfortable because they are too firm. I would like to request a softer bed by way of an egg *something* mattress cover. Can this be requested prior to boarding and if so, how? Thank you for your responses. westwood65 Posted March 18, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2016 We just got off the adventure last weekend. I had requested a mattress topper as they apparently do not have egg crate covers anymore. We found the bed to be quite comfortable with the topper.
westwood65 Posted March 18, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2016 I forgot to mention that I made the request about 2 weeks before the cruise and it was on the mattress when we got into our rooms the first day .

Who/how did you make this pre-request to the Adventure...special needs department?
LakeErieLady Posted March 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 19, 2016 I just asked my TA to relay the message. I had read that they are in short supply and I thought it made sense for the steward to make it up the bed with the topper rather than having to do the bed over. JTBCruiser Posted March 19, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 19, 2016 Yes they are firm but DW and I have a firm mattress at home. Ours had a topper already on it, we didn't have to ask. We had no issues sleeping on it. I think the mattress topic is like the food, very subjective. Hope it works out for you to enjoy your cruise.
