I am considering using Viator for some excursions in Europe. I would appreciate any feedback and references from fellow cruisers. Thanks.

If you look on the Ports boards, you will see them mentioned regularly.

 

They are a broker, not an actual tour provider. They have great prices, but as they are a middle man, it can be challenging to communicate with the actual tour provider if the need arises.

 

We have used Viator, and experienced problems related to communications. We prefer to deal direct with the actual tour providers, of which there are many high quality providers recommended on the Ports boards.

CrusierBruce has it right. They are a broker.

 

We also prefer to direct with the actual tour providers but will use companies like this in selected areas where we cannot work directly with a tour provider.
