Difference between "Deluxe" and "Superior" Oceanview balcony cabins

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering if someone can outline the difference between a Deluxe and a Superior Oceanview balcony cabin? Both are listed at the same price for a cruise I'm looking at. The Superior has a slightly larger room but a smaller balcony. I think the two categories are D1 and E1.

Is one generally regarded as "better" than the other?

Thanks in advance! We're budget cruisers so don't have much experience outside of the interior cabins.

Not knowing what ship you are asking about, in general, the E1 is is not quite as long as the D1. The difference is usually a two-person loveseat in the E1 and a three-person sofa in the D1.

Independence. And looking at availability, we may opt for the sofa bed anyway, as opposed to an upper berth for our 3 year old

On Indy, you are looking at a total of 15 square feet difference between the two staterooms, so 2-3 feet in length.

Good decision. Also, I believe there is a minimum age requirement for upper berth of 6 years. Have a great cruise.
