Mahogany Bay Cabana for 5? and zipline questions at port...

Hi all. Quick questions if anyone with experience can help. I've called carnival and a little confused.

I would like to have my family of 5 ( 2 adults and 3 teens) in one cabana. I was told no problem on the phone, but when I went to book the cabana, it says only for 4 people. Will I have issues with this? I was told we would need to buy one extra ticket for the flying chairs, but the cabana itself should be no problem as they are our kids?( We are in 2 cabins if that makes any difference?)

And, I originally booked the extreme zipline right there in port via the Carnival website. The Carnival agent I spoke with said I could not book the cabana and the zipline at the same time as the times overlap. So I had to cancel the zipline and book the cabana since cabanas are limited and she said I could talk to excursions desk about ziplining once on board.

BUT is it possible that I can just have my family walk over to the extreme zipline from the cabana and purchase tickets to ride the zipline after we get to the port?

Isn't Carnival phone help a gas?? LOL

Klip 'n Zip is a walkup operation....go for it.

But frankly, if you want a really nice beach, Mahogany Bay is not it. West Bay Beach, a taxi ride away is head and shoulders better.

It is possible the person on the phone was confused about which zip line you wanted to experience. There is one named Extreme, it in not in the Mahogany Bay Port but outside the gates so one would have to arrange transport.

If sea and sand is all you seek, Mahogany Bay is a good choice for convenience, never mind the zip line is right there as well. Carnival working hard to keep as much money to themselves.

As said above, West Bay Beach is the premiere beach on the island and South Shore Zipline is on the way to the beach.. if you so choose. The question becomes transport.. taxi are not regulated so one need have haggle skills or prearrange a private driver.

Thank you for letting me know that we can walk up to the zip line and purchase when we get there.

As far as beaches go, I know we could see much, much better and less crowded beaches, but the location near the ship is what works best for our family as not everyone is keen on going to the beach/sun/ boringness.

So those who had their fill can just go back to the ship when they are ready or use wifi in the airconditioning and the others can stay as long as they want with items locked up in the cabana. Not the cheapest option, but the best one for our family to partake in while getting in the zipline that everyone wants ;)

..Just a mom trying to work what's best in for the family to enjoy as a whole before losing a kid to college...lol.
