LAX Uber question for 4

I have been searching CC for some answers on taking Uber from the Lax airport to the Long Beach cruise terminal.

 

My traveling party will be 2 adults and 2 children age 10&12 plus 2 large suitcases and we each have small carryon bags.

 

 

Has anyone used regular Uberx traveling with 4 people and luggage?

 

Trying to figure out if I can get away using the regular uberx or should I request a uberxl (more money :/) to travel from Lax to Port of Long Beach.

We used Uber from LAX for the first time on Monday with 3 of us and 4 suitcases

 

We used the XL and got a nice Surburan.....Our ride wound up being $80+ for about a 11 mile drive.....they add in a $5 Airport Fee.....$20 wait fee which we waited 35 mins for him as he drove around to the wrong level twice

 

Lesson for us next time is Unless it's just 2 people and we can use regular Uber a van cab or shuttle would of been Cheaper

 

Taxi from LAX to home $40 Max

 

Shuttle 3 people $45

It will be tight but you should be able to fit in an UberX. Plan on having your carryons on your laps for the ride though, if that's an issue go XL. But as you said the saving are with X.
