cuti Posted April 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2016 Since the Feb 2016 dry dock added rooms to Liberty of the Seas on deck 12, it shortened the track. As a runner, this matters to me. So, since sneakers are packed, I did a quick GPS lap when we got onboard while barefoot. I'm trusting my Garmin since we are docked. It measured .13 of a mile. So, that means 8x around is a mile. I'm gonna be dizzy if I use this to do my 8 mile run this week. Even for my 3-4 mile runs its 24-32x around. Eeks. Hope this info helps someone as I know I couldn't find this info on cruise critic. Konasteve Posted April 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2016 I appreciate the track info. I'll stick to the treadmill for my 8 miles in May. Besides the short track I get so tired of dodging everyone else on the track.
Gulia35 Posted April 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2016 My husband and I are runners. Sounded cool to run outside on a ship while looking at ocean. Are there a lot of pedestrians on the track to dodge constantly or what?

Konasteve Posted April 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2016 I have not been on LOS ,but on the other RCI and Celebrity ships we have been on I was constantly avoiding walkers, wanderers and people carrying trays of food and drink. The treadmills are much more convienent for a good run. Good luck and enjoy your cruise!!
OSUZorba Posted April 4, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 4, 2016 You can run on the promenade deck, would be much longer.
mollyeilis Posted April 4, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 4, 2016 From recent Freedom experience, the earlier the better for jogging on the track!
