Restaurants in Nice

We will be spending 3 nights in Nice prior to a cruise later this month. Can anyone recommend a restaurant you might have enjoyed. We will be staying at the Perouse which I understand is close to the "Old City." It certainly doesn't have to be a Michelin starred one. Thanks !

"Old Town" has a strip where restaurants line both sides of the street. This is where the public market is during the day. Each restaurant has an ala carte menu as well as 3 course meals starting at $16eu and up. We ate twice (3 course) at one of the locations and it was good. Fine dining in Nice carries a big price tag.

A few years back while on a private excursion tour of Nice and Ez we had lunch at one of the restaurants facing the market. It was wonderful and the gelato we found on a side street was the best I have ever eaten anywhere.
