One day in miami

We will be spending one day in Miami en route to New York next month when on our cruise ship and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of what we should see and do in that city for one day. We have never visited Miami and would like to see a little of what the city has to offer. Also, we would love the name of a good guide who could take us around.

I suggest taking one of the hop on hop off buses around the city to give you an idea of the different areas of the greater Miami and South Beach areas. You can ride the entire loop and then go back to the places you really wish to explore.

 

You can really spend an entire day on South Beach. Lots of restaurants, shops, and of course the beach.

I agree the hop on/off bus, which you can pick up at Bay Side Mall nearby the port, is a fun and convenient way to see pretty much of the area. Plan for sure on spending time in South beach area.
