75snow Posted April 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2016 Hi, I know this is a basic question but we will be coming back to Miami on the Glory next Saturday and have arranged for Carnival's shuttle to FLL. We are considering trying to do a mini-tour in Ft. Lauderdale as our flight is not until 3:30 flight. So, how does Carnival schedule their service? Just wondering if we will be able to get off the ship early and have a scheduled shuttle or is it a first come, first ride arrangement. Kind of disappointed Carnival does not have any published information. Thanks.
4FRCruising Posted April 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2016 They have buses and you just show your ticket and get on-they wait until the bus is full before heading to FLL airport.

JohninDC Posted April 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2016 You would be better off arranging your own shuttle (SAS, QLS, Go Airport and others are often suggested on this board) to FLL; cheaper and they will leave earlier. Carry your own bags off the ship to get a head start. Your other option is a one-way rental car from Miami to FLL; put the bags in the trunk and go where you want. Avis and others have downtown Miami locations close to POM ($12 cab if they do not shuttle), or book with National, Alamo or Thrifty and ride their free shuttle to their MIA airport location. lablover61 Posted April 7, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 7, 2016 Our last cruise we fly into FLL and cruised out of Miami. We did use the Carnival transfer to get back to FLL for a noon flight . The night before debarkation we asked GS for Zone 1 . Without self assist , we were off the ship and through customs a little before 9 AM. Boarded the first transfer bus and got to FLL around 10:15 . The first few transfer buses fill up quickly , so there is not much waiting. You would plenty of time to explore FLL using Carnival.
