Bottomless Bubbles prepay question

Can anyone please tell me if you prepay/purchase the bottomless bubbles before your cruise from the online Carnival Fun Shops do they put the sticker on your card when you check in, are the stickers in your room when you arrive or do you have to go somewhere else to pick up your bottomless bubbles stickers?

We have always purchased for the kiddos once on board by the pool area but one of the grandmas wants to do something for them and thinking this might be something that will be beneficial instead of blowing money at the arcade.

Just would like to know how to find/get those stickers put on the kiddos cards when we cruise then.

thanks :)

A quick search would have answered this question. Briefly, as I understand it, the sticker will be affixed when they first use it.

Go to any bar and they will put the sticker on. It will be in the system that you already paid. I keep a copy of the email confirmation on my phone just in case as it doesn't show anywhere on your reservation after you purchase it.

No advantage as far as price. I like to prepay as much as possible ahead of time so I can walk out off the ship with a truly zero balance if I don't purchase any extras. And, no, you don't pay tax on the package if you buy it before you are in International Waters. They quit doing that a while ago. You are now taxed on your individual drink while in a US Port.

Thanks !I recently called Carnival about some excursions and received bad info from the rep, so I thought to ask on the boards here to get some reliable information from anyone who actually had experience with prepaying for bottomless bubbles...

Thanks again for the quick responses :)

I notice this on our Alaskan Cruise last year. When we left Seattle they charged something like 14 cents per drink until we cleared the Strait of Juan de Fuca(it wasn't until 10pm or later that night). However, there was no tax while in the any of the Alaskan ports.

Also on the last day when we crossed Strait of Juan de Fuca again on our way to Victoria(our last port of call), the second we crossed into US waters the tax came back.

What was funny is prior to the cruise I download an app that had offline navigational charts so I could easily see our position relieve all the channel markings and territorial water boundaries. While on the way to Victoria, the ship was at most only 50-100ft away from Canadian waters and keep that distance until the ship made turn into Victoria. Then it became tax free again, until we headed back to Seattle.

I was thinking this had to do a state soda tax or something in Washington/Seattle and didn't realize it was fleet wide.

Yep it is. You get taxed while in a US Port like San Juan as well. That's one thing that irritates me about going the Eastern Caribbean route. It's not a crazy amount of money, just annoying.

They were laminated right on your card, no sticker.

I'm assuming the cruise ether started or ended in San Juan? Or was it a port of call? If its a port of call, i'd be annoyed by it as well. When I first saw the tax I thought it was going to be a huge bummer because at least 80% of our cruise was in US waters, but they didn't charge the tax while in Alaska.

On a side note, they also had the casinos open while in Alaskan waters(but not while in port).

Started in Miami - taxed there too. Stopped in Puerto Rico. Surprisingly no tax in St Thomas.
