Global Entry in Galveston

Thinking of a cruise out of Galveston with a stop in Roatan.

We understand that the immigration/customs is very slow and wonder if anyone has been able to use Global Entry in Galveston.

We are nervous that we will not be able to make a pre booked shuttle back to the airport or may have a long wait in we book one fairly late.

I read elsewhere on these boards that CBP is doing Global Entry at select seaports (Port of Everglades was mentioned in particular). So, perhaps that is a pilot program that they are considering rolling out to all seaports in the future (fingers crossed!). This may not affect the cruise the OP is considering out of Galveston, but something to keep an eye on for anyone who has GE.

One caveat is that apparently you MUST bring your GE card (not just your passport) in order to gain access to the expedited line.
