Susanr613 Posted April 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2016 Hello! I have $100 onboard credit and was wondering if the Cirque Dreams and Dinner either standard or premium are a worthwhile spend. Thanks!
Rare Huntingdon1701 Posted April 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2016 I thought so - really enjoyed it. I went for the premium seats on the balcony, which gave a good view but no chance of being pulled in to participate (or being splashed with bathwater). It includes a variety of different acts, with acrobats, quick change artists, and some comic mime which is quite hard to describe. Basically, it's different from anything else on board so adds some variety. The dinner included is okay, but not outstanding. You might want to eat somewhere else before or after. Rare BirdTravels Posted April 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2016 The show is great fun. With the price of dinner. Have a good time.
Cruzinbabe06 Posted April 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2016 Yes, it is worth it! We had a table on the floor up front. Awesome view!
kathybelcher2433 Posted April 16, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2016 We loved it! I consider us somewhat discerning passengers; less so after a few drinks[emoji3]. The show is fast paced and fun.
JayinAZ Posted April 16, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2016 We got the premium seats and were asked if we wanted to sit up close so I said sure. Little did I know I was going to be one of the main actors in the show. It was certainly entertaining for my family. When I did have a chance to eat, I thought the steak was the best I had onboard. I'd say it was well worth it.
Quilting_Cruiser Posted April 16, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 16, 2016 I enjoyed it. The dinner was so-so, but the show was very enjoyable. I'd definitely go for premium seating. I sat in the balcony and it was a great seat. :D

red212fire212 Posted April 18, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 18, 2016 Definately!!! A great way to see a cirque show up close, Balcony seats ensure the best view of everything too, How much would you have to pay on land to get that close to the performers?!?! We really enjoyed it

LrgPizza Posted April 18, 2016 #11 Share Posted April 18, 2016 I agree with the others. I recommend seeing it. We enjoyed sitting along the balcony upstairs, but I'm kind of a "keep your back to the wall" kind of girl. The view was great.
MotherofTrips Posted April 18, 2016 #12 Share Posted April 18, 2016 We booked the show for the first night. We have the SDP and were charged @ $11 for each ticket. What seating does that get us?
MotherofTrips Posted April 18, 2016 #13 Share Posted April 18, 2016 Just to clarify we are booked on the Breakaway

I believe that is standard seating and not premium. I booked with SDP and it cost about $17 for premium. Standard will get you floor seats but they will be back from the stage and from what I could tell from the balcony there may me times when it will be difficult to see everything that's going on from the standard seating. But, I haven't been in standard so don't know with certainty.
MotherofTrips Posted April 18, 2016 #15 Share Posted April 18, 2016 Thanks for your reply. When. I booked it online there was not an option for different seating
Quilting_Cruiser Posted April 18, 2016 #16 Share Posted April 18, 2016 Thanks for your reply. When. I booked it online there was not an option for different seating You can go to the box office on board and see if you can upgrade if you're interested in that. Personally, I think it's worth upgrading to premium. I sat in the balcony because I didn't want to be chosen to be part of the show! LOL.
