Rare horseymike Posted April 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2016 I have brought bottled water onboard with a luggage tag in the past. Is this still permitted on ncl cruises ?
Leavethekidswithmom Posted April 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2016 Most definitely but make sure the porters at the port will do it, I think they have problems in NO.
BeachMartini Posted April 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) Put mine in one of those duffle bags that fold up into a pouch. That way the case is inside luggage at the port and we can fold up the duffle and forget about it once we're on the ship. Rare GeezerCouple Posted April 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2016 Put mine in one of those duffle bags that fold up into a pouch. That way the case is inside luggage at the port and we can fold up the duffle and forget about it once we're on the ship. We also bring an empty duffel bag so we can load up with a good supply of Diet Coke (NCL is a Pepsi-only operation). I think there may be two ports where the dock workers won't/can't accept liquids (NOLA, and perhaps Tampa? or ?), but otherwise, just put a luggage tag on it and check it in with your checked luggage. If you are at one of the ports where you cannot check liquids, that's a port issue, not an NCL issue. You can still carry them aboard. Just remember that the containers must be *sealed* (as in, not previously opened after purchase). Then we have an extra bag IF we need more space to bring things home, but that hasn't happened... yet... RM

jdd Posted April 15, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2016 Port Canaveral will not allow you to check a case of water. We had a luggage tag on it and the porters said they cannot take it. We had to carry it on with us.
pathubia Posted April 15, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 15, 2016 We had a room tag on a case of water in NOLA this past November, my husband had planned on carrying it up but the porter took it with our luggage. Probably depends on who you get (and maybe how you tip?)
chong67 Posted April 15, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 15, 2016 The water at the fountain should be filter. I had it on other ship and it taste great and no chlorine taste. I will just bring empty bottle this time. Unless medical condition need you have super clean water.
