  1. Hi Beth , Hope you have uneventful flights and a great cruise 🚢. We will be following along . The ABC islands are our favorite Caribbean itinerary ! Safe and fun travels. 😎🍀👍
  2. My question keeps getting pushed further toward the bottom of the list. I am curious who makes that decision ?
  3. When companies or businesses put a gratuity/ service charge on the bill , that is where it stops for me. I understand people need to make a living , but if their company charges the fee , it is up to them to decide if what they end up getting from the company is satisfactory or not.
  4. I am sorry for not being concise. I meant if someone in the family who was not traveling on the cruise became ill. A quick read of the cruise care cancel for any reason benefit says 90% towards a future cruise if you cancel for a “ non covered “ reason. Any advice from previous experience with this coverage will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  5. If a family member became seriously ill or worse ( child’s in laws ) would Cruise Care provide cancellation benefits ?
  6. We have met many wonderful people when cruising on the various cruise lines. Once and awhile we encountered a person or two that we found “ overbearing “. For us we just steered clear of them for the rest of the cruise. Would you please pass the Grey Poupon ? 🤣🤣
  7. I was in an inside cabin. When I asked about free laundry, my room steward said he would be right back with the necessary items to provide it. He returned shortly with a bucket and a very long rope and directed me to the aft deck of the ship 🤣. Only kidding, have a great cruise 🚢.
  8. Thanks everyone. I appreciate your replies. Just a thought that crossed my mind, as flying has become the WWF with wings.
  9. Hi everyone, I know my question is a bit far fetched but I feel as though the experienced cruisers on this forum are quite knowledgeable in the finer details about cruising. Would any or all cruise lines permit us to go from Port Everglades to Aruba , debark the ship , stay a few days , or a week ect …. then return from Aruba back to port Everglades on the next scheduled cruise ? Thanks in advance for your replies.
  10. We have had good results with the onboard laundry service . The package or service you choose is up to you. Your cabin steward will help you with the details.
  11. The edges on the cap for the aluminum water bottles were similar to a razor once unscrewed.
  12. Have a safe trip and a wonderful cruise 🚢. I will be following along.
  13. Sorry to hear things have been disappointing.
  14. Hello everyone, Can recent / current Cruisers onboard Equinox tell us what they have noticed ( if anything ) with regard to the work completed on the recent dry dock visit of the ship 🚢 ? Thanks
  15. I believe Equinox has recently had a dry dock visit. I am not sure what improvements/ maintenance was completed. I am partial to that ship , she has a wonderful crew. The other aspect is the promenade outdoor deck which is covered , this gives us folks who wish to stroll / walk outside and take in some ocean air as well priceless views is another feature of the S class ships that I truly appreciate. The edge class has a walking / jogging track on the top decks , I just don’t feel it is as enjoyable. Have a great cruise whichever you decide. 👍
  16. My first cruise was 28 years ago. 4 night Bahamas cruise on RCCL Sovereign of the Seas. I did not know what to expect, if I would like it or not. Here I am now with 25 + cruises under my belt, guess I liked it.
  17. Go with the smaller private companies. Better experience.
  18. Hello Ms. Hodges Bethge, In spite of my complaints Celebrity is usually my first choice when shopping for a cruise. I will admit a huge part of the cruise for my wife and I is the food. It has been our experience since the Covid recovery that the baked goods on Celebrity look Wonderful but have little or no taste. Will you and the upper management at Celebrity make the decision to go back to the quality ingredients so your bakers can go back to serving the best baked goods at sea that once was a Celebrity tradition ? Thanks for your time and consideration.
  19. Think about it , casino mentality, no clocks , no windows , fewer places to enjoy being outdoors while at sea. Focus on herding passengers to venues to spend more $$$$. I get it , cruise lines need to make a profit, but contrary to famous movie quote , greed is not good.
  20. Hope you and your friend have a great cruise 🚢.
  21. The convenience factor of not having to sign and get a receipt has been wiped out by the high prices currently being charged for the drink package for me.
  22. There comes a price point when people just stop buying. These specialty restaurants have reached that point.
  23. Forgive me for living in the past. I have a bad habit of doing that. In the years prior to these drink packages , you could not walk 30 feet on any cruise ship without a beverage server asking you if you would like something to drink. Now that many folks have chosen to pay for the drink package + gratuity in advance ( at prices that are far from discounted ) you have to line up , wait and hope you can be served in a reasonable amount of time. They already have your money ( and plenty of it ) so the reality is they are in no hurry for you to get your drink. I would like to see folks stop buying these drink packages and go ala carte. Maybe then the whole situation would be more enjoyable for the passengers , after all , they are paying for their cruise vacation and deserve maximum enjoyment for their cruise.
  24. So glad you enjoyed your cruise despite AA losing your luggage.
  25. This whole drink package thing is becoming more of a scam every day.
