Hi Steve , Welcome back and thank you for being here to help us with our insurance coverage questions. With the Geoblue Trekker insurance are we covered while onboard the ship once we leave American waters ? At home we have original Medicare and UHC supplement through aarp.

If someone was robbing your house when you were not home would you want your neighbors to say something to someone ( you , police , ect ) or would you want them to say that is your issue and ignore it ?

As insane as it sounds , I always try to eat a little something before arriving at the port of embarkation, that way no hunger issues if the Buffet is a madhouse on that day. If by chance it is somewhat civil , the option for a small lunch and or dessert 🍨 is still possible.

I am forever hunting down the best available price , but what these people did is basically stealing. It is too bad you got stuck with them. Most folks we have met on cruises / excursions have been wonderful. Unfortunately there always seems to be a rotten apple or two in the barrel.☹️

$$$$$ is the bottom line for the cruise line as well as the customer. Try and keep your options as flexible as possible and hunt down the best deal on a cruise that you think you will enjoy. Forget any loyalty, that is a thing of the past with all these corporate bean counters these days. Hopefully you will find a cruise you will enjoy at pricing that you are comfortable with. There are differences between cruise lines , that keeps it interesting. All the Best 🍀👍😎🚢

I would say you have no margin for " the unexpected ". Myself , I would try to book something later.

I share your sentiment about mechanical maintenance being performed during the dry dock.

The so called sales are basically a shell game with numbers.

It would not be my first choice for your teenagers ,but if it is only for a few nights they should be able to enjoy themselves on the Reflection. Some of the live music is quite good , If they like to dance the silent disco can be fun. The pool contests / activities are very lively and entertaining. Hope it all goes well for you and your family for a great cruise 🛳️

I would try to reach out to Celebrity to see if they can assign you a different cabin. Explain to them your situation and ask them to make this change in the name of safety. Hopefully they will help you. I sincerely wish the best for you folks , hope you have a great cruise 🛳️

If having to wait for your table is not an issue for you anytime is fine. People who prefer eating at basically the same time every evening at the same table with the same wait staff seem to appreciated the fixed seating times more. Hope it all works out for you . Have a great cruise .🛳️

Not being a crybaby, but we had the aluminum screw cap bottles once on the Equinox, and believe me , the edge of the screw caps were razor thin and you could very well cut yourself badly if not careful when opening the bottle or handling the cap.

Good luck 🍀. Let us know how it goes. If something does not sound right to you don’t be afraid to question it. I have changed cruises before on X with one of their agents, it usually went well but there was a time something did not sound right , I questioned it and it was resolved in my favor.

Hello Everyone, Will recent / current cruisers let me know what type of container the bottled water sold onboard Celebrity is being used . Plastic or metal or waxed cardboard carton ? Thanks

complicated question for sure . X is not really a cruise line for small kids , hence people who have them usually gravitate to other lines. the other side of the coin is the timing and price of the cruise when the potential cruiser has the window of opportunity to go, they will usually seek out the best option for the best price depending on their personal situation. I have done several X cruises and seen a mix of all ages on all of them. Finally , older / retired people usually have more free time to travel than people who are still working full time, obviously that is a factor.

Hello , You may wish to try one of the " S" class ships to start , they are pretty much the middle of the line category for Celebrity. Your instincts are good with looking for a longer itinerary when schools are in session, there may be a few kids if you use those guide lines but not the large numbers on short itineraries during school breaks. I have found the MDR food to be quite good as well as the buffet during breakfast and lunch hours. The entertainment seems to be a notch better than HAL. Same can be said for the music. The included features are the meals ( not specialty restaurants ) entertainment and basic beverages such as water , ice tea , lemonade , coffee ( not specialty ) during the meal times and in the buffet 24 / 7. Anything else will be an ad on or package. A word of warning , the baked goods on HAL , especially the breakfast pastries are far superior to Celebrity. I hope this helps. Good Luck .
