HAL Offering Personal Choice Dining?????

For 7 or 14 or 21 days? Every night? Alone? I'm sorry ... that sounds too much like my normal life on land. No thank you.

I'm with you there, Greg. I cruise to get away from real life for a while. It's a delightful change of pace to have company for dinner every night. People I can get to know and exchange the details of the day with.

And I'm not about to go looking to find my own companions, either; that's the cruiseline's job. If I do get friendly with someone and want to dine with them there's always the Lido (nah) or Pinnacle (yup) for a night.

There are a lot of people who sail alone on HAL---that's a big part of the demographic. The traditional dining approach suits the needs of this group very well.
