Of course we've seen plans for improvements to the concession and restrooms announced in the past and then never actually carried out.

 

For that matter, what happened to the plans for major changes to the parking area that were announced last year? Buses were going to be able to drive down the hill to drop off and pick up passengers in the parking lot rather than at the bus stops on South Road.

 

I'll believe it when I see it.

Don't hold your breath. In the nearly 30 years that I've been traveling to Bermuda I've seen countless plans for improvements to public facilities, new hotels, and whatever announced but never coming to fruition. The proposal has just been put on the table for public comment. That is just the start of the process.

I wonder how much of these new ideas and improvements per se are coming from the Americas Cup race in 2017 , there are many ideas floating around and assuming SOME of these will come to fruition in the next year
