muggo11 Posted April 16, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2016 We absolutely loved Gibraltar. Find a tour that takes you to BOTH sets of tunnels. And enjoy the thrill of walking across the runway at the tiny airport. And eat some fish and chips
Shogun Posted April 16, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2016 Hi Great port of call, any tour that takes in top of the rock, tunnels, far side of the island, and you will be fine, allow time for down town shopping, plenty little places in old center to grab a bite to eat. yours Shogun
Barosx2 Posted April 16, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2016 A great pdf file from Tom's Port Guide http://www.tomsportguides.com/uploads/5/8/5/4/58547429/gibraltar-02-15-2012.pdf
sockmonkeys Posted April 16, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted April 16, 2016 CC partners....thank you for the great comments, I especially found Tom's port guide very worthwhile. I have always been intrgued and enjoyed monkeys in Asian and southern ports but am a little timid about these apes! Time will tell! Cheers
Shogun Posted April 16, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 16, 2016 Hi Have met the apes a few times, no issues, but follow guides instructions, never have any food on you or in your bags they will be off with your stuff within seconds, same with cameras, sun glasses hang bags, these guys are the best pick pockets in the world, were you buy tickets to go inside giant cave they sell ice cream, never walk out side with one, the apes love ice cream and you will be mugged by one with in seconds. just watch you tube yours Shogun
muggo11 Posted April 17, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 17, 2016 Hate the apes--too habituated to humans and they creeped me out. I stayed in the van. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

AF-1 Posted April 19, 2016 #11 Share Posted April 19, 2016 Gibraltar was a great port for me. Loved the tunnel tour and down in the village are some very good places to eat
jamesr3939 Posted April 19, 2016 #12 Share Posted April 19, 2016 Top of the Rock was a highlight. The apes trying to take my DW's fanny pack where she had some Jolly Ranchers was next to crazy. I agree they are a little creepy.
