75 dollar dining credit from CAS

This question is for the CAS people out there.

My understanding is now they give you a 75.00 credit rather than a meal if you are Hot level.

Can you buy Spd on board and use that towards it? Not even sure you can buy SPD on board?

I asked this question on board and was told "no". It can only be used for restaurant charges not for a dining package. This was this past February on the Gem. Someone else may have had a different experience. It never hurts to check onboard, but I wouldn't count on it.

I did this, on the Escape. I never even thought to question it.

Just off the Epic which was booked as two separate cruises, so I was to receive $100 credit per cruise for Golden. I used the credits to purchase a SDP for both my mother and myself on the second day of the cruise.

I just spoke and it is only available if you upgrade to a full suite to get all 4 upgrade offers, otherwise you get the perks for the class you were comped.
