Taking on board Soda or Pop in Galveston Tx

Has anyone had problems taking on board a 12 pack of Soda or Pop ? Cans not bottles?

or how about bottles of water?

 

I have never had a problem in Fort Lauderdale but never gone out of Galveston.

Sorry, did not try cans myself. However, from reports I've read at other ports, cans seem to be trusted more than plastic bottles, and they are harder to open and fill with something else and still look factory sealed.
