yun2 Posted May 4, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2016 Hi everyone, We are going to be on Solstice in June. A couple of us have to check in with work and potentially need to do some work. We got the free internet as the package when we booked. For you experienced and previous cruisers, would you answer some questions we have? 1. Do we have internet access in the rooms, or just public areas? 2. How many users are allowed per "internet package"? 3. Do they limit number of simultaneous logins, and/or number of devices? Say can I be on my iPad and iPhone the same time? 4. What kind of internet speed do they provide? Enough to stream video or more like dial-up? Thank you in advance! Rare Essiesmom Posted May 4, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2016 Wifi will be available all over the ship, although reception may be better in some locations than others. You can allow as many users as you want for your package, but only one device can be logged on at a time. Closer to dial-up than streaming. Rare cruisestitch Posted May 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2016 Internet on Celebrity is changing, getting faster and more reliable. Still not as fast as you might have on a high-speed system at home, but better than it was. When you get a package (either free or you buy one) you set up a user name and password. You can log on as many devices as you want, but only one at a time. One person would not be able to log on with both their iPad and iPhone simultaneously. You can have as many users as you want on a single package, but only one at time. If one person is logged on, and second person signs on, the first person is thrown off.
