My son received a message from RCCL that boarding wil be cut off at 3pm on Sunday instead of 4pm. Does anyone know the reason why?

My son received a message from RCCL that boarding wil be cut off at 3pm on Sunday instead of 4pm. Does anyone know the reason why?

I read that the ship is leaving at 4pm which would account for the earlier boarding cut off, but no explanation for the early departure.

Got the same message for the 22nd sailing. Boarding from 11 to 3 and sailing at 4. Original time was 4:30.

Cutoff was always 3 pm, but I guess they only need an hour to send the ship manifest to DHS?

I thought I read that the government rule was always 60 minutes, but that the cruise line made the 90 minutes for extra margin.

Do the ship's decide when they leave port or is that up to the port authority? The ship channel in Houston/Galveston is extremely busy.

We sail June 19 but haven't gotten the message yet. I wonder if this will be their new departure time.
