Jemimapuddle10 Posted May 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2016 Hi everyone, I go on my cruise with Royal Caribbean next week and am starting to really over think things! Only just found that my daughter won't be allowed in the pool and there aren't any kids pool facilities on our ship- has anyone got any advice on alternative water fun? (Pop up pool/bath tub?). Also getting confused as I was led to believe at the time of booking that I could leave my daughter for free of charge in the nursery. Is this the case or do you have to pay? It would just be nice to try and get the odd hour to myself. :) I've only booked an interior stateroom and am thinking I should have gone for a more roomy option! Has anyone stayed in this accommodation with a cot as well? Not sure how easy it would be to upgrade my room at this point. Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
mjkacmom Posted May 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) I believe all cruise ships charge for the nursery, just make sure there is one on your ship. Edited May 11, 2016 by mjkacmom
cb at sea Posted May 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2016 Yes, many will bring a blow up TUB (not a pool!) for splashing.... The nursery is free during the day, but you do need to sign up in advance. I think there is a night-time charge, but during the day, you pick the times you want...do that on boarding day. I don't think you can do it in advance...maybe that has changed??? Your cabin will be fine....depends a bit on the ship, tho...older ships have smaller cabins... a balcony gives adults someplace "to be" if baby is napping or down early for the night, but many folks use the inside cabins...you'll make it work! rebeccalouiseagain Posted May 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 11, 2016 If you are leaving next week- I doubt the ship is full, since it is off season. You should try to upgrade to a balcony stateroom. It may not be much more than what you are paying. I'd definitely call the travel agent.
