Islander, questions about Crown Bay Gaming

Hi, I am interested in gaming on St. Thomas. Can you tell me if Crown Bay Mall with the gaming center is still there? If so, how far from the port is it? We are on Carnival. How much would a taxi cost to get there? Thank you for any responses.

No, we don't have casino's in Orlando. I have been to St. Thomas at least 10 times and have seen it all. Many tours of the Island with guests we have travelled with. I will still do the shops, but my husband and I are handicapped and we cant do the beaches any more.

The Rock, which is right at Havensight dock, is very similar to Crown Bay Gaming Center, I think. I'll confirm later this week and report back.

I think the pool at Senor Frog's at Havensight might be a good option for you. If you eat or drink there you can use the pool. It's never crowded and you can most likely see your ship from the pool. You have to like loud, party music, though because that's what they do ay Senor Frogs.

You don't need a taxi to get to The Rock at Havensight.

You might also want to go to the St John's Bay Rum factory tour also in Havensight. It's free, and it's interesting. Doesn't take much time, though.

stefs111: The "gaming centers" on St Thomas are *not* casinos. They are video lottery machine outlets. VLTs have the poorest payouts of any type gaming. They are basically a way to separate people from their hard earned money. You will have a casino on your ship and you will be sorely disappointed if you go to one of the gaming centers on St Thomas. They are all over the place unfortunately.
