I purchased the unlimited Internet package for my cruise this week (Getaway). However, in speaking with the NCL Rep she said I would also incur additional charges from my carrier while using their onboard internet - does that make any bit of sense to anyone? :confused:

Nope....makes zero sense. I had unlimited internet on my 19 day Alaska and no additional charges. Shoreside rarely gets it right.....

As always, make sure your phone is in airplane mode (with wifi enabled) or with your cellular data turned off to avoid accidents while away from your home country.

A wifi only iPad mini solves this issue

 

Bought one for $200 and use it constantly

 

Btw keeping your phone in cellular data off also solves the issue

 

You can audio FaceTime

 

Just like making a phone call

When you purchase the package you choose your own password when you first log in.

You set up your own password when you get on board. The account is tied to your cabin # and name.
