peewee8894 Posted May 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2016 Hello everyone! I am going on my first cruise on the Carnival Glory in December, leaving from Miami going to Belize, Mexico Grand Cayman and Honduras. I plan on driving and I was wondering if anybody had any advice on parking or how much it would cost. Also if anybody has any advice on the shore excursions Anything would be helpful!! SuiteTraveler Posted May 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2016 (edited) If you are going to park in Miami you need an advance reservation. You can either park at the cruise terminal or you can park at an offsite lot with a shuttle bus to take you to the cruise terminal. More info: http://www.floridacruisetips.com/miami-cruise-parking/ http://www.miamidade.gov/portmiami/parking-information.asp Some cheaper options: http://miamiportparking.com https://parkwayparking.com/location/Miami-Seaport?gclid=CLDDsYHA68wCFQ2QaQodLzIIWw Information on excursions can be found here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=587 Edited May 21, 2016 by SuiteTraveler
cb at sea Posted May 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2016 For what to do in each port, head to your library and pick up a guidebook...tons of info! And, most things don't require "excursions" and are cheap and easy to do. Learn something about your ports...it can save you big $$$ and give you a great day!!! Bankshot Posted May 21, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 21, 2016 I think it's better to arrive the night before, stay at a hotel and take their shuttle to the port after the free breakfast the next day. Find one that will let you park on their lot free for the duration of your cruise. It will probably cost less than the $20/day parking at the port. Try booking through, "Park Sleep Fly .com"
SadieN Posted May 21, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 21, 2016 You didn't ask but... Bring some OTC meds, especially Immodium. OTC meds are expensive onboard. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
