Britcruzer15 Posted May 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2016 We are due to stop at Le Havre and Cherbourg on Indy next week. Will be interesting to see how the demonstrations of today (and the coming days) affect our schedule.
mrobstad Posted May 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Our cruise roll call, July 19, is monitoring similar roll calls, with LeHavre as a point of concern.

MADflyer Posted May 26, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Actually Socialism at it's best is in Sweden and Denmark. The French and Italian strikes have always been an annual event. The Local France has a good run-down of this years 'events' http://www.thelocal.fr/20160525/heres-how-youll-be-affected-by-frances-upcoming-strikes The cruise industry owes quite a bit to these labor actions that have convinced governments from Scandinavia, France, Germany and Italy to continue to subsidize the shipbuilding industry. All of these ships have been built for at least 30% off market pricing. I guess one might call that corporate socialism.
