bennobot Posted May 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2016 Hello, Me and my family are going on an Alaskan cruise out of Seattle. One person in our group had a DUI. I know that they won't be able to do any excursions that start in Alaska and go into Canada. Also, he won't be able to go into Victoria. Has anyone had any experience with this? I want to make sure that he's able to get on the ship in Seattle and just stay on the ship in Canada. I read somewhere that you're questioned in Victoria. Thank you!! He would have any problem with the cruise. Crossing into Canada from Skagway could be an issue . If he takes train or bus to the summit . They don't actually cross into Canada. As long as doesn't leave the ship , probably no problem in Victoria . In Victoria you don't actually talk to a Canadian Customs agent on the pier. They just take your Canadian Customs declaration and give it to the agent. Canada has a list of all passengers sent before arriving in Victoria. I think he should call the Canada Border and Immigration . Ask then them the question.

HappiestWhenCruising Posted June 13, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 13, 2016 You can read my post where I had a DUI 6 years ago and was worried about having to stay on the ship in Victoria. Nothing happened and I was able to go off and on just showing my cruise card. If it was more recent, its hard to say what could happen.
