They have a spot under cover on the island, kinda set back but near the entrance. There are also a bunch of covered eating areas

I too love HMC. It's one of the nicest beaches I've seen.

My last trip to HMC (3 years ago), I took beer off the ship in my Carnival cooler. Was I not allowed to? I didn't try to sneak it and no one even looked in my cooler. Planning on doing that again next month. :eek:

1. I haven't purchased any thing yet. just trying to understand the rules and why they have them. Other lines don't have those limitations.

2. I wasn't bitching or complaining. I was just trying to understand what seemed confusing to me. I like to make 'informed" decisions.

The person whom you quoted wasn't responding to your post but someone else's.

 

The reasons for Carnival's handling of their beverage package availability (or lack thereof) have been provided. You might not like the answer and therefore not feel the compassion you seek at paying for a beverage package but not being able to use it on HMC (unlike other lines that do allow it on their private islands).

 

The simple fact is Carnival doesn't allow it and they do not seem interested in changing the long-standing policy. Years of questioning the whys and wherefores haven't made a iota of change. Perhaps decades more will.

 

I hope you are now informed and find this more than the least bit helpful.

twice now I have brought a softsided cooler and put beer I bought on the ship in and enjoyed HMC and didn't have to get up and down to get a beer and since I paid for a bucket I saved $2. Since I like to get down the beach from the crowd the bars are a long way to go. seems like a simple solution to me.

Get a few drinks before you leave the ship and pour them into a water bottle.
