Maddaw08 Posted June 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2016 We will be traveling to Bermuda on the Breakaway on 9/4/16 - Are there any better nights to eat at the specialty restaurants during our trip?
Dodgers671 Posted June 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Hello my wife and I will be on the breakaway on 9-4-16 as well and we think it was best to book Specialty dining on sea days. The days in Bermuda for us are challenging for dinner times because there is so much to do day and night on the island. We also booked all free and paid meals online for each day to make it easy. Sometimes people want a particular but can't get it because that time slot is booked. Hope this helps Ken
Rare BirdTravels Posted June 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Wednesday nights May-September, is Harbor Nights street festival in Hamilton (a short ferry ride across the harbor from the cruise ship dock). Many stay in town for the music, international foods, dancers, and arts. The busiest nights (definitely make reservations) will be on the night you depart Bermuda and the last sea night. 100% of the specialty restaurants will be 100% booked. In general, the most popular restaurants are Cagney's Steakhouse and Teppanyaki. Both will sell out quickly during prime time for the entire cruise. We always book Cagney's on the last night of our curise. Enjoy a nice meal, walk the ship and pop in to some last minute entertainment, then go and try and squeeze all of the clothes back into the suitcase. Sizzlechest Posted June 10, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2016 You didn't say how many nights you will be doing. I'm assuming you won't be doing specialty dining every night? In general, avoid port days since you never know if you will be late making it back (assuming you like/want early dinner times). Day 2 of the trip is usually the "Dress Up or Not" night when they start doing photographs. If you're planning to go to Le Bistro, that would be a good night to do it since you'll be forced to dress in casual clothes to go to Le Bistro and you can get your pictures done, too. In fact, we happened to get ours done on the Breakaway at the spiral staircase right outside of Le Bistro when we were on the Breakaway. We knocked off the photos while we were waiting. It's a great spot for a portrait.
