snoopycr Posted June 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Hi There, Never been to Barcelona, so need some timing advice. Disembark our Royal Caribbean cruise ship at 6AM Monday on July 25th.. Our train at Barcelona Sants leave for Paris at 9:25am. Is that enough time to disembark Brilliance of the Sea? Or should we pick a later train at 1.17pm just to be safe timing wise? We only have 2 travel bags. How long do you think the Disembark at the Barcelona port usually takes?

Our only experience is after a Transatlantic with Allure, being an EU citizen (May 2015) when we basically just walked out. It took about 10 mins because there were slower people ahead of us and we did not want to push anybody. Passport control was just waving us to go through with our EU passports. No customs or anything. Taxi line was nonexistent, there were more available taxis than people waiting. So I'd say you've got plenty of time to spare. Rare SpainAlien Posted June 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2016 The taxi ride from the port to the train station takes about 10 - 15 minutes so the only potential for delay is with customs/passport control Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
snoopycr Posted June 10, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted June 10, 2016 We're US Citizens. Only 2 in our party. Leaving Brilliance of the Seas. Does passport control take a long time in the port of Barcelona? Monday 6am. You think 3 hours is enough?
Rare SpainAlien Posted June 10, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2016 I would say you have more than enough time, don't worry Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
xxHadleyxx Posted June 10, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 10, 2016 We are US citizens (though EU residents, but that does not affect much if anything) and have always been off very quickly in Barcelona, including after our two TAs that ended there. I would say your odds are very good. It is the fastest and most efficient port we sail through, and the train station is close by.
SadmanCruiser Posted June 10, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 10, 2016 You will have more than enough time. I travelled into Barcelona last month. I left my room at 8am, got off the ship and into a taxi, travelled to the airport and cleared security at 8.55am Pete

nenasmum Posted June 27, 2016 #10 Share Posted June 27, 2016 We caught the same train last year off the Allure. Big ship, virtually no customs check. We are Australians so not EU. Got off at about 7.30 and we reached the station minutes later with time to kill.
