EggDropErin Posted October 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2005 I have been reading about the rasul treatments in the spa in the other posts, and wondered if it was available on Adventure. Also, how much do these treatments cost? It sounds fabulous and would love to surprise DH2B with something special like that. Thanks!
PelicanBill Posted October 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2005 Adventure is a voyager class ship, and it was on the Voyager.. it's fantasic. The price was $83, plus there is a C&A coupon for 10% off. They will also offer you products afterward and if you buy $170 worth the Rasul is free. The Rasul is awesome. Read about it in my "Live from the Voyager" post still floating around page 2 or 3. It will be in my posting for "Thursday - Day at Sea". Book it as SOON as you get on the ship, it fills up fast! Jan_In_Maine Posted October 22, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2005 I hope you get the chance to try it - It is a total blast - we tried it on our "30th Anniversary Cruise" and spent the time giggleling like kids. We really had a great time - somewhere on the review boards is the review that I did that goes into detail. Enjoy! Jan
jkrislc Posted October 22, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2005 Does anyone know if this is offered on the Legend of the Seas?
PelicanBill Posted October 22, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2005 I don't think so - I believe it's only on the Voyager class ships.
jlx2 Posted October 22, 2005 #7 Share Posted October 22, 2005 WEe would like to do this on the Mariner, and I was wondering do you tip since there is no one doing the treatment to you? If you are supposed to tip could you please tell me who and how much? Thanks!
bigscrb15 Posted October 23, 2005 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2005 I am going to book this on my honeymoon cruise. Is it totally private? are you naked doing it? do they have any beds and hancuffs in the private room? lol, last question was a joke.
Jan_In_Maine Posted October 23, 2005 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2005 It is very private......and one is very naked....!!! The following is from a review that I did on our 30th anniversary cruise: "This was the day that we had our rasul massage - it was a total riot and a great chance to just be silly and have fun. For those who haven't heard of it yet I will try to explain. There is an area that has a small shower off a dressing room that has a sauna area attached. The sauna is very typical although the seats on the sides and walls are a marble material. There are 5 different types of "muds" to use on the skin - first is a large salt crystal mixture, next an oatmeal/fiber mixture and the other 3 are a clay/mud mixture. The idea is to smear it all over each other - the first 2 exfoliates the skin - the second 3 are masks for the skin. We had a wonderful time laughing and being totally silly - it was very much like finger-painting in kindergarten in a very steamy room. After about 45 minutes it rains from ceiling vents and the mud is washed away. Then it is off to showers and trying different lotions finally getting dressed. It was great fun and there was no selling of products afterwards. Ken said his skin has never been so soft."
digital_curator Posted October 23, 2005 #10 Share Posted October 23, 2005 WEe would like to do this on the Mariner, and I was wondering do you tip since there is no one doing the treatment to you? If you are supposed to tip could you please tell me who and how much? Thanks! We did this on the Navigator and LOVED it. It was $91 on NOS though (probably will be on Mariner too- they seem to be priced the same)....we had the same question about the tip- we tipped $5 I think since the attendant did have to come in and set up the room..... Cheers,
