Extra Costs on QV

Hi,

 

I consider cruising on QV.

Can anyone tell me what the costs are onboard. Drinks, food etc

Never been on a Cunard ship before.

Also, on the website the don't have prices for excursions.

 

And are any kind of amenities be bookable before the cruise?

Most food is included. The Verandah has a menu with individual items priced. In Kings Court (Queen Mary 2) or the Lido (Queen Victoria or Queen Elizabeth) part of the restaurant is converted into a specialty dining venue on most nights (I think the cost is $15 or $20 plus drinks). Excursion costs vary but in my research they're slightly less than I've seen with other lines but still higher than booking directly with an excursion company. For a full day excursion in the Caribbean with lunch expect to pay around $120 per person (my only recent experience is in the Caribbean).

 

If you let us know where you're thinking of cruising, someone else might be able to provide examples of excursion prices.

There is also the daily Hotel Charge which currently is $11.50 per day for Britannia and $13.50 per day for Grills.

You can book Alternative fine dining - The Veranda - through your Voyage Personaliser at $35, and also shore excursions. I think you need to phone to book the Spa in advance.
