As title indicated, GEM was pushing a bit overnight at 19 knots toward Sandy Hook, NJ into NY's Lower Bay around 2 AM, under VZ Bridge and docked at MCT around 3:35 AM - likely with many of the guests onboard still sleeping when she sailed past Statue of Liberty.

Welcome home, 3+ hours earlier than usual & this should be an early disembarkation for just about everyone, especially Express Self Walk-Off very soon.

Anyone onboard with an update and/or knew what was the rush for - guessing it might be a medical emergency to quickly get them ashore for transfer to land facility for higher level of care. Hope all is well.

Have a great morning, breakfast should be served by now for the early birds. Welcome home & it's a beautiful early summer morning in the Big Apple.

The same thing happened on our Breakaway cruise in March. The captain announced that they had a medical emergency and would dock sooner than scheduled. However, disembarkation went on as originally scheduled.

Maybe walk off on time...but as I recall (and I surely could be wrong)...porters, etc have a strict contract which only lets them start at a specific time...8 or 9 I believe...

Didn't even realize we had docked that early. We were up around 5:30am and noticed we were already docked.

Walk off debarcation started around 7:30 about 15 minutes before we were supposed to meet the Concierge. Very easy walk off.

Really great trip, weather was good. Private Island was skipped due to weather and we instead arrived a day early into Nassau at around 3pm.

Nice to hear, all is well. Maybe it's all nothing. Great weather, smooth sea conditions & Capt/officers & crew won't mind have a little extra time ashore or at least dock for turnaround ... possibly some maintenance, safety inspections & training, or compliance with U.S. authorities, etc.

Let's watch for on-time embarkation later on. Safe & happy voyage to those onboard now, as we head to the Jersey shores for 2 day weekend shortly - ... not going to visit the Margarittaville on land. ;)
