Um, if you wait till Sept 28th , your going to miss he boat!:p

 

Probably meant August 28th's 13 day cruise.

 

wrt to the OP's question, we like to sit at the Celler's waterfront bar (outside the Michael Mondavi Celler). Not very busy, with great views of Miami and south beach as you leave.

Here are some good spots

 

-Anywhere on the waterfront, especially if you want good bars for getting drinks quickly

 

-Pool Deck - always fun and lively, not something we always do, but it has a certain vibe thats needed sometimes

 

- Spice H20 - they do sailaways sometimes there too, lively bunch

 

Unfortunately, I find sailing away from Miami not as exciting as Fort Lauderdale, way more people waving and stuff at fort lauderdale, but still a good time to be had sailing away from anywhere
