thompson4131 Posted July 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) Hi...my name is Paige, and I am 3yrs old. I really wanted to ride a water slide in the new Splash Away Bay, but I wasn't allowed. You see, I am 40 inches tall and fully potty trained. There are 2 areas in Splash Away Bay with slides. I must be 42 inches to ride the pink slide and 45 inches to ride the yellow slide. There is 1 additional slide in the baby area, but this one only allows toddlers who are NOT potty trained and must wear swim diapers. I was so disappointed! Rare John&LaLa Posted July 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2016 Well, you have a long life ahead of you with plenty of opportunities for disappointment. Consider this an early life lesson. ;) Just kidding, sorry things didn't work out. Maybe next time.

We will be taking 4 grandkids with us, the youngest will have just turned 4.
Cel_cruise Posted July 12, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2016 Oh Paige - I know how hard this must have been! this could have easily been our daughter as well - who was not 42 inches tall until she was almost 5!! Thanks for sharing with us - we will make sure that other kids we know who might be traveling know the rules too!
CruisinWithMySweetie Posted April 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2017 I wasn't aware of the specific height restrictions prior to our September 2016 cruise. Unfortunately my 3 1/2 year old couldn't do the slides at Splash Away Bay, which was such a bummer. I rode the two slides myself and thought they would be completely fine for a 3 year old. She had fun regardless, but had wanted to join her 5 year old sister on the slides. During the week of our cruise I noticed very few children using Splash Away Bay slides, most playing in the kid pool area appeared to be shorter than the requirement :(.
