davecttr Posted July 14, 2016 #26 Share Posted July 14, 2016 The ship was late by quite a few hours (I can't remember exactly), but it was mentioned in the original thread about it. I'm doing this cruise in a few weeks and at the time I said to my wife that in the same situation we would miss our 4.30pm flight, so it was a significant delay. It was late enough that a lot of people would have missed their flights. I imagine that this could have cost a fair amount if people needed to stay a night in hotels (which are expensive in Copenhagen) plus having to rebook flights. As you are from the UK did you book the cruise as part of a package? If so NCL will be responsible for getting you home, re-arranging flights and providing a hotel if needed, all at their expense. I have a cruise booked on Epic from Barcelona and the flight home is 12.30 which should be fine and if the ship is delayed I have no need to panic. My flights transfers, pre cruise hotel and cruise are all on the same invoice from NCl.

I can afford to miss a few flights before the cost of that would exceed what I have saved over the years by booking myself.
