BEST CENTRAL PARK BALCONY ROOM/DECK On OASIS

Recommended Posts

HI= Thinking of booking another cruise on Oasis next year- Nov. 26, 2017, one of the cheapest weeks to cruise. We have done an ocean view and boardwalk view balcony,on the Oasis. Wanted to try something different-but not an inside. Also, trying to go a little cheaper (our son is in college) and in December-it gets dark earlier-so not as much daylight view. What is everyones favorite in CP. Was thinking more the middle-or near Giovannias- or Park cafe-? Deck 11,12?-heard 14 can be noisey. Thanks-Melinda -We are excited Oasis is moving to Port Canaveral-closer for us to drive( yeh)- but wish Freedom could have stayed, too!:(

I actually just went through this process. Decided to go with a central park for SEP 2017. I would avoid being across from park cafe or over it if you sleep in as its busy in the morning.

I would recommend a lower deck over higher deck.

I went with 10609. 2 decks up, over Giovanni's but with a view of the garden wall and across the middle of central park of the trellis bar. It tends to be quite and nice there in the evening, and when there is a band/musical group (some violins and such from my last trip I recall) they play just outside that area.

I went for night time view / ambiance.

I used google to find central park pics, then found rooms by counting them from the center wall.... used this to decide.

We had 10585 on Allure and it was fabulous. Great location, quiet, not too hot out on the balcony, and close to the forward stairs and elevators. (To get to the venues at the rear of the ship, we would walk down 2 flights and then use CP as the walk-through).

My daughter and I had 10653 on the Oasis this past February, and we have reserved 10249 (on the Harmony) for next February. Both of these were chosen to be close to the aft elevators. I sometimes have difficulty walking long distances, and being near the elevators made it easier for me to walk to the Main Dining Room and Windjammer. We took a rented transport chair along, so my daughter could push me on the boardwalk and pool deck, or on Promenade or Central Park if we were going to the forward end of the ship. There were never crowds at that end of CP, and we could hear the violin/piano duo in the middle of the park. Deck 10 over CP is the lowest one with balconies. (Deck 9 has windows that look out on the park.). We were high enough that pedestrians couldn't look into our balcony, and low enough that the noise from deck 14 wasn't that disturbing.

We had a portside CP balcony and it was more toward the aft of CP and I would never get a cabin any where near there! I sat on my balcony and heard screaming kids most of the time because the kids pool was across CP on the starboard side. Get a cabin more to the front of CP.

We have 10603 booked for September. It looks better each review or comment I read.

This is my first time with a balcony & on a big ship. I'm really getting excited about it!

DH got a little jealous since I booked this with a friend so I booked another one in March on the Oasis with him #6630 ocean view balcony. Road trip!

Don't book 14, deck 11 is our favorite.

Just saying if you do sleep in a lot, it is pretty busy down there in the morning.
