crusinpsychRN Posted July 19, 2016 #26 Share Posted July 19, 2016 Not if the stroller is folded up and standing in the recessed threshold of the cabin door. That's true. I've seen huge ones that block the hall.
crusin'mom Posted July 20, 2016 Author #27 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Glad to hear she is ok. I'm happy you guys had a good time. I tried to get the FTTF yesterday for our January sailing and it was sold out :(. I figured it would be a less stressful check in and boarding experience with the little one. We are both experienced cruisers however we haven't cruised since becoming parents and are hoping it will be a good experience. We booked the deluxe oceanview cabin with the extra half bath which includes a tub...it was marginally more expensive and we figured it was a wise move. We do have an umbrella stroller that we plan on taking. We're hoping he will sleep peacefully in it because we don't want our night to be over when he goes down. He sleeps well in it now but who knows with the change of environment. We did not have FTTF and did just fine without it. Check in and boarding went very quickly and was a breeze! So I wouldn't worry too much if you are unable to get it. I've never cruised without kids so I don't know the difference, lol. But I'm sure you will still have a great time, it just may be a different than you're used to. My little one slept great on the ship, maybe the movement helped her. crusin'mom Posted July 20, 2016 Author #28 Share Posted July 20, 2016 That's true. I've seen huge ones that block the hall. We were all the way at the back of the ship so maybe that's why they were allowed to leave them parked where they were.
crusin'mom Posted July 20, 2016 Author #29 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Glad to hear you had a great cruise. We will be taking our kids aged 11 and 12 for the 1st time in April. They want to know about the arcade lol did your older kids go and how was it? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk We did visit the arcade a few times and they enjoyed it! It was bigger than I expected and had some fun games. Several crane machines, some racing games, skeeball, that big fish wheel game (not sure what it's called), and some very fun Pacman air hockey game that releases several small pucks every so often. simplelife Posted August 24, 2016 #31 Share Posted August 24, 2016 Embarkation was a breeze for us last Month on Magic, without FTTF. We were just a few minutes behind my Sis and BIL, who are platinum. Sent from my iPad using Forums
jorjen9 Posted August 24, 2016 #32 Share Posted August 24, 2016 I am booked on the Magic next June. I have seen numerous complaints lately of strong sewage smells onboard. Did you happen to notice this or hear any complaints from other passengers?
simplelife Posted August 24, 2016 #33 Share Posted August 24, 2016 There was a sewage smell in the port hallway on Deck 2, near some of the midship cabins. Drazil65 Posted September 4, 2016 #38 Share Posted September 4, 2016 (edited) The machines (arcade and casino) take your sign and sail card not coins/tokens. You will have to put a daily limit on each of your kids S&S cards if you let them play in the arcade. You can do it daily at GS or we put the weeks worth for all his spending on our son's name/card and tell him what his daily limit is. He only uses his daily limit each day and it is easy to track for us. If you are not sure you want to do that all at once then just do it each day. If you do it daily and they get to their limit they can no longer use the card. Edited September 4, 2016 by Drazil65
adventure4life Posted September 20, 2016 #39 Share Posted September 20, 2016 Hi, I was wondering if you noticed any balloons used for decorations or generally about. I know people use them on their doors for various reasons. Just curious of other areas they may be in. I have an airborne allergy to latex, so avoidance is best. I emailed and talked ro customer service and they assure me they don't use them. I thought I'd check with people who've actually been on the ship recently. Thanks!!
