6 ships at a time in St. Thomas

A quick question which come up recently in our RC group, maybe one of the expierienced St. Thomas fellows is able to answer:

 

We figured out that at our cruise end of November (on the 30th, to be precise) with the Norwegian EPIC a bunch of other ships are at the same time in St. Thomas: the Eurodam, the Oosterdam, the Oasis of the Seas, the Queen Mary 2 and the Regal Princess. I assume that the Crown Bay Pier can only hold 2 ships at a time, so 4 of the ships would be assigned to Havensight. I'm also pretty sure that we (the Norwegian EPIC) will Dock in Havensight, but I wonder which are the other ships?

Typically 3 ships can dock at Havensight and 2 at Crown Bay, any additional ships will have to be tendered at Havensight.

 

Typically Epic, Eurodam and Oosterdam will dock at Havensight; Oasis and QM2 will be at Crown Bay (due to deeper ship draft). That leaves Regal Princess as the odd ship out.

 

Princess usually docks at Crown Bay, but can also dock at Havensight, but as it docks at 10:00 am, later than the other ships, it may have to tender (past Princess cruiser's' may be better able to answer this more precisely).

It has the full ship schedule, with pier info. They only show August and September right now.

When there are 6 ships, one will tender.

Yes, they still tender there sometimes. We tendered in St. Thomas in 2015 on Ruby Princess. This year in January some ship tendered.

The tender dock is actually quite convenient -- directly in town (Charlotte Amalie). :)
