Now it's off to the prison.A beautiful place but the scene of much atrocity.Turned into a solitary confinement by Peter the Great.First prisoner was his son who got into a fight with guards and was killed.Lenin'ser brother was executed here.

It only opened on November 13 2013.It is owned by a foundation set up byRussian billionaire(Viktor Vekselberg)-The Link of Time foundation. It began with the purchase of the Forbes collection in 2004.

It has been buying back Russian artefacts including jewellery. So the collection now is a lot more than the Forbes collection. The foundation though isn't limited to the Faberge museum.More info here-

That would explain why I was unaware of it as my last visit was in 2012

And just a word on the be careful what you wish for subject. When leaving Stockholm a new satellite dish was loaded. The computers and printer removed from the Internet café.After the second day you can no longer bring up the log on/off page.Asked the Reception staff who say everyone now has complimentary internet so no need for the Internet café.

And on sea days like today the speed can be glacial and drop outs common.

Our guide is just about to come out of the door, take us to the head of this line so we are the first to enter for the day.You have been reprieved as no photos allowed in the Peterhof Palace so quite a few posts less than this report might have been.We were actually passed by an older American couple inside. As they passed the woman was saying to their guide-"We have seen so many palaces so can we hurry up and get to see something more interesting".***.

So after going through this OTT palace we came out on the other side to the gardens-
