Bringing wine on board

While bringing the allowed amount of wine onboard, do you need to "check it" as a carry on with anybody in particular, or can you just pack it in your suitcase?

Do not pack in your suitcase. Security will call you down to the naughty room and have you open it in front of them. Carry it on in a carry on bag. That's the only way to do it. Nobody special to check it with. You just put it on the belt and thru the extra machine.

You can carry it on or put it in checked bags. However I strongly recommend carrying it on to minimize the chance for breakage and potential delay of bag delivery.
