sunset785 Posted August 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2016 We are heading out on the Jewel of the Seas with our two kids (2.5 and 5) in late March. Our ports are: St. Thomas St. Kitts Antigua St. Lucia Barbados What would be the best excursions at these places with young kids? We are beach people so a nice beach with facilities not far from port are a plus. We have been to St. Thomas to Coki and Magen's Beach so looking for something different there. Thanks! cb at sea Posted August 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2016 Head to St. Johns from St. Thomas...the most GORGEOUS beaches in the world are there! It's a bit of travel, but so worth it! A guidebook will really help you plan your time ashore! Libraries have guidebooks!

YOWmom Posted September 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 11, 2016 In St. Kitts, we took our kids (then 11 and 7) to the Marriott resort and bought a day pass. Great pool & restaurant and beautiful beach. In Antigua, we went to Valley Church beach - it was ok but not sure I'd recommend it - there was a fairly steep incline down to the water. And agree, in St. Thomas, it's well worth taking an excursion to St. John - Trunk Bay is stunning and not at all crowded anytime we've been. Sky616 Posted September 15, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 15, 2016 We didn't have our kids along in April but we loved the Boatyard in Barbados. My wife commented she liked it more than orient beach in St. Martin. Water was fairly calm. I think it was $15 pp which included a lounger for each, an umbrella, one alcoholic drink and a ride back to the ship. It was a great day.
