For comparison, SDP entitles you to 1 main entree, with multiple apps/sides/desserts.

The 3 night dining package works out to about $27 per meal per person. Its probably worth it if you're going to Cagney's and Le Bistro. Margaritaville isn't worth it, IMO, and many passengers seem to agree - its always empty. If you're going to eat there, just pay a la carte. You'll have a hard time eating $27 worth of food per person there.

The 3-meal SDP is $69, so $23 per meal. I know, I know (I KNOW) they add 18%. But they add 18% to all the menu prices if you pay à la carte, too. So just look at the base prices on the menu and see if you're likely to go over $23 and forget about the service charge for now. Unless you have something against whole numbers.

I've decided, that if there is a possiblility of going once, and for sure twice... get the package.... before the cruise!
