In a nutshell

Things about Carnival that bother me:

-Waiting for cruise day to arrive

-Having to leave the ship when it's over

Things that don't bother me at all (as long as I'm on a ship and on vacation):

-the price of FTTF

-the conditions/limitations of Cheers!

-table cloths whether present or absent

-food quality...I'll always find something

-dancing wait staff

-1 or 2 times a day stateroom service

-chair hogs

-children having fun

-what others wear to dinner

-cigarette smoke

-missing ports due to safety

-staggered check-in

-a little "wear and tear"

-she's "showing her age"

-cruise director announcements

-up-charge dining options

-cabin noise (I pick my room carefully)

-vibration (I'm at sea...I expect that)

-cancellation policy...buyer beware

-people who ride elevators 1 floor

-lack of freebies in the bathroom

-perks...or lack thereof

-buffet lines

-entertainment (I cruise with friends who do that for me)

I'm not picky. I'm on vacation. There are always little things I have to let slide but I refuse to ever let little things ruin a vacation that I have worked hard for...planned extensively...anticipated for so long.

Keep it positive folks and have fun!

well said bigdawgmatty!

There are actually two things on your list that do bug me, but only two, and I am not telling which ones:p

I love cruising, and only wish I could go more than once a year.:)

Lol. It's all good to have things that bug you. I'll guess anyway.

Let's see... Chair hogs and cigarette smoke

Ok, I will give some...you got one right! But let's not go there, as it will end up getting your thread pulled, and I like your post, would like to see it stay;)

BTW, neither one of those two things that annoy me are enough to keep me off Carnival, or any ship for that matter. Just not big deals to me.

When we are lucky enough to be on a cruise, there is no way we want to waste a single minute sweating the small stuff. I must tell you, however, that I am one of those that take the elevator 1 floor. I have really crummy knees, and walking stairs is a killer for me. I do feel judged when I push the button for 1 floor, but I really don't have a choice. Hope my fellow cruisers will keep this in mind when you see people do this.

I wouldn't let that bother me, people can think what they like. I understand your issue.

I personally hate that damn sad song they sing in the MDR on the last night.

"All your bags are packed, you're ready to go. We're standing here in front of you, we hate to see you go and say goodbye. We have done our best to serve you this cruise we have danced for you and made you smile already we're so lonesome we could cry, so wave and smile for me, tell me that you'll be back for me hold me like you'll never let me go

you're leaving our funship we want to see you back again we hate to let you go so every ship you go we think of you every song we sing we sing for you when you come back we want to serve you again (again again again) so wave to me and smile for me tell me that you'll be back for me hold me like you'll never let me go

you're leaving our funship we want to see you back again, leaving our funship we hope to see you back again, leaving our funship we hope to see you back again."

I'm sailing in 7 days, and already getting sad thinking about the last night!

Hold me, like you never let me go. Cause I'm leaving on a Funship,

Don't know when I'll be back again, Till then ill see you in my dreams,"

You do you! People shouldn't judge someone for taking the elevator just like I would never judge people that workout daily while on the cruise and remind me how I'm NOT working out [emoji24][emoji23]

Great thread! We also agree with most.....the main thing to bring on a cruise is a great attitude :D

To Mar214.....there are many, many, things that don't appear at first and it seems to be human nature for people to judge others when they don't have the whole story....tsk, tsk!!! You do whatever you have to do to be comfortable....and enjoy your cruise!

For them:

"There, but for the grace of God, go I....."

"I cried because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet"....
