mrsfuzzmo Posted August 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2016 (edited) We have a Havana Cabana on our upcoming cruise. Our friends just booked a non-havana cabin to accompany us on this trip. Can we walk them to our private lanai to hang out with us? Will we need to "pick them up" or can they get to our cabin from the Havana Bar hallways without having the bracelet or a room key? I understand they will not be able to get to us via the outside promenade, but if they want to come and visit for a cocktail, do we have to escort them to our cabin? AND do the Havana Pool waiters walk down the promenade to service those of us who are just too lazy to get off our porch swing? :) Edited August 30, 2016 by mrsfuzzmo

Yes, anyone can come to your cabin door, regardless if they are staying in a Havana cabin and yes, you can have whoever you want on your private patio. No, the waiters do not walk down the promenade to service the individual cabins. Actually, there was no waiter service at all on the Havana pool deck. I did hav one of the bartenders offer to bring me my drink after I had ordered it when I was laying out by the pool, but no continuous service. footballbabe3 Posted September 1, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 1, 2016 So then what is the point in booking a Suite?? If anyone can come into the Havana area why am I paying extra?
steph7021 Posted September 1, 2016 #9 Share Posted September 1, 2016 So then what is the point in booking a Suite?? If anyone can come into the Havana area why am I paying extra? They aren't in the Havana area they are on a friends balcony/lanai. They come through their room not through the pool area. BTW, the suite has nothing to do with it. All Havana guests have the same access to the private pool area. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app Correct. We do not have a suite, but a Cabana with a Lanai. We will not try and "sneak" our friends into the pool area, no worries. Just wanted to invited them to our "backyard" for some beverages before or after dinner. :) We are all getting the Cheers package and I'm sure it won't be too big of a deal to walk through the hall to the Havana Bar to get cocktails, but if we tip the servers, it would be a great convenience. That's all. :)
SweetCruiser39 Posted September 1, 2016 #11 Share Posted September 1, 2016 Not trying to be a downer here, but there are NO poolside waiters in the Havana area AT ALL. Everyone has to go to the bar to order drinks, only one bartender on duty at the Havana bar during the day.

I'll stand corrected if it doesn't happen...but I'll bet a buck that this changes in the Caribbean. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app I'm on the first Caribbean sailing out on NYC on Nov 5th. We have a Lanai. I'll let you know if it changes, I have my little pouch that hangs from my lanyard with my stash of "tip" money ready to go in my carry-on. We'll see if that age old quote "money talks" is true. They will have to have more than one bartender on duty back there for our sailing. I plan to enjoy the area during the day and retreat to the comfort of my patio and cabin when the gates open at 5pm. Keep us up to date!
