StolidCruiser Posted August 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2016 There are tons of cheapie excursions you can find on your own if you find those offered by the cruise line over-priced. Try one of the many travel sites that provide specific user reviews of activities in the ports you are visiting. You could also inquire on the specific ports of call board here for other suggestions. Have fun and save money! :)
cb at sea Posted August 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 30, 2016 (edited) What do you want to do on these "excursions".....if it's just beaches, you don't need any excursion...just go! A guidebook is very helpful....Isn't Amber Cove Carnival's private resort? Doubt you need an excursion there.... Ms411 Posted August 31, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 31, 2016 How many in your group? There are great island tours offered by the taxi drivers at the dock. The tours range from about $25-35 per person depending on whether beverages are included and number of stops. If you have a large group (6 or more) best to reserve in advance to save time in port.
